ACCO is proud to present an opportunity for its members to learn more about how to prevent workplace violence injuries through verbal de-escalation.  On August 20, 2019, an internationally recognized speaker, Pamela Porter, will be presenting a full day of training at the ACCO Headquarters in OKC.  This is a rare opportunity to meet and learn from one of the industry’s best instructors.  Pamela Porter has been an instructor for the FBI, Secret Service and the Department of Defense.  Pamela’s experience has taken here to some of the largest disasters in the world including the OKC bombing.  Her 35 years of experience in this field have provided her with a vast array of experiences and stories.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from her how to reduce workplace violence utilizing negotiation techniques and make your job easier and safer.

County jail personnel and sheriff’s office personnel are personally invited to attend this exciting meeting.  You will learn how to use verbal de-escalation techniques to maintain a sense of calm in the jails, reduce violent outcomes and reduce workplace injuries.  These same techniques can be used by the Sheriff’s department to improve outcomes with members of the general public.
